During British rule Dunga Gali hill station served as a sanatorium and contained a hotel, post office and a small church. The area was visited by Europeans during summer, who also had houses on the southern slopes of the nearby Mukeshpuri Mountain. When you are travelling to Nathiagali you must see the Dungagali Tanks and Dungalgali track well known as pipeline track. There are two huge water tanks which supply water to Murree via a beautiful and natural track that is Dunagali-Ayubia track and leads to Murree. The information center of Ayubia National Park is here in Donga Gali. Beside this a church and two square ponds made by the Britishers are over here, and circle pond made by the Pakistani Government are the cause of attraction for the tourist, There is the wonder museum just beside the information center of Ayubia National Park, which is so much a sources of attraction for the people. You can have the charming view of Nathan GAli, and Mochi Dhara from Donga Gali.
Instead of coming back from Mushkpuri to Nathigali we will head toward Dongagali track . This is the alternative 4 km track that will take us from Mushkpuri to Dungagali, a place four kilometers short of Nathiagali, on Murree-Nathiagali Highway. It is equal in length to Nathiagali-Mushkpuri track.
This track is also known as the pipeline track as it is just beside the pipeline that supplies water from Dungagali to Murree. It is among the world most beautiful tracks and is about 4 Km from Dungagali to Ayubia. It is a plain track without any ups and downs unlike the Mushkpuri track.
